Mr. Chewy Promo Code for YOU!

Happy Valentine's Day!  I was greeted by a purring Reggie this morning giving me wet nose kisses as soon as my alarm clock went off.  And also Happy New Year!  I realized I haven't posted a new blog since December so I apologize!  I will try and post a few times a month in 2012!

Now for a story that happened to me about 5 weeks ago...

I had been gone for over 12 hours that day and I knew I would have hungry, hungry kitties when I walked through the door.  And sure enough, I had two “circling sharks” when I walked in the door.

Imagine my horror when I realized I had absolutely no wet food for them.  (My boys only get wet food in the evenings and pretty much demand it now!)
So I quickly dropped off my things, ignored their cries of hunger, grabbed my keys and wallet, and headed down the street to the pet store to pick up some wet food.

Well, let’s just say I never wanted that to happen again…

Fast forward a couple of weeks – I received an email from Mr. Chewy.  They offered me a promotion code to order some food off of their site.  So, of course I did, and with FREE SHIPPING over $49 it was a deal.  I was able to get the boys their wet food of choice - Felidae Cat and Kitten Formula with Chicken Turkey Lamb and Ocean Fish Canned Cat Food.  I also set up a delivery schedule so I won’t run out of wet food again!

Here are some great things about Mr. Chewy:

  • 70+ Brands – Mr. Chewy offers a wide selection and adding new in demand brands regularly
  • Subscription based ordering for hassle free delivery of your favorite products
  • Prompt shipping throughout the United States (I think my order came within 2-3 days)
  • Free shipping for any order over $49

Now, last but not least, use the promo code PRAC3338 and get 10% off your first order and $10 will be donated to The Best Friends Animal Society for each order placed!

Monday Musings...

Because it was New Year's, mom gave us some stinky goodness. We don't get this often as we are perfectly content eating crunchies (which are better for our teeth anyways), but we do LOVE it when she gives it to us!

Valentine's Day Treats

In honor of V-day, Mom gave us some chicken....real chicken too! Not stinky goodness chicken made only for kitties! ... We gobbled it right up...

"This was the bestest meal in a really long time! Yum!" --Reggie

This doesn't look like kitty food....

What's that noise in there?
Something interesting is in there I think...
I better check it out...
Kind of hot, but of course I have to inspect (my mom says excuse the messy counter)
While Reggie was being silly in the kitchen, this is what I was doing. I think me smarter than little brother.

UPDATE on Reggie: He will be getting his echocardiogram on February 6th.

Our Christmas Tree

t

UPDATE: The vet appointment was great on Sunday. I put Marley & Reggie in the same carrier for the 25 minute drive to the vet's office. They do so much better and are much calmer being in the same carrier. Marley received two vaccinations and Reggie was tagging along for a wellness checkup. Marley still weighs 8.7lbs, but Reggie, at only 8 months weighs a whopping 8.1lbs!

The vet suggested I only put enough dry food in their bowls so that they will run out during the day at some point. Since they are strictly indoor only cats they do have a bit extra weight, and even though they are Sphynx' and eat much more, Reggie is still a bit pudgy! So, I am trying the new feeding routine. They are just like humans - when we get bored, after being inside all day, we eventually head to the kitchen and eat just for eating's sake!

Go Trojans!

Marley: Our Mom is sorry she couldn't post more today, but she has been very busy with work today!!!

Also, she is very much looking forward to the USC football game tonight! If you didn't know she is a huge fan and has been attending football games for almost 20 years now! So after work she is going to some place called a "bar" to drink some stuff (not water) and eat greasy food, or so she thinks! She better come home first though and clean our litter box and give my little brother food or else he'll freak out!

Reggie: My surgery went fine yesterday, or so they tell me; I don't remember too much. All I know is that when I got picked up I was very hungry and had to wait about 40 minutes until we got home and my mom fed me. Marley didn't even know I was gone and only sniffed me a couple of times last night....I was very hyper last night, but also very loving - I kept jumping on everyone's laps to get rub downs. It was nice to have a full tummy again and to be back in my comfy apartment!
