Happy Purrthday to Reggie!!!

Reggie aka "Pookie" is 2 years old!  Seems like just yesterday I flew up to meet the breeder to get what would be a rambunctious, love-y kitty!  Reggie must have known today was his special day because he woke me up with some cold, wet nose butts and wouldn't stop!  Happy Birthday to the sweetest, hairy-eared sphynx there is!

Wake up and smell the roses kitties!!!

You may be confused as to why there is a hairy cat on a sphynx blog!  Well, that's because this is Marley and Reggie's "cousin", Katee!  She lives with our mom's parents (aka our grandparent kitty slaves).  She is almost 5 years old and is the sweetest girl there is, often kneeding in the air and grabbing an empty lap as soon as she spots one!

We are perfectly content burrowed in an unmade bed!

Update on Reggie's teeth cleaning visit...

My vet is so thoughtful (and also knows how worried I can get) and sent me the following updates.  She also sent me this picture.  I think he was just coming out of sedation here.  (I brought his blanket for him).

Hi Lisa, Reggie is ready to go under anesthesia. He required special handling, but no extra charge for it as you're such a great kitty momma. He really was as good as he personally could be. I adore his tufts of fur on his ears. We'll let you know when he's in recovery. He's third in the lineup. His CBC and internal organ function screen were within normal limits.

He is in recovery and is extremely lovable right now, lots of nose-to-nose contact. He can go home after 4. Did great!

Reggie goes to the dentist...

Marley here.  Tomorrow Reggie goes in for his comprehensive exam and his very first teeth cleaning!  Mom is a little nervous because they have to put him under anesthesia, but she is very confident in her vet and knows that he is in very, very good hands.  But actually Mom is more stressed out about the whole "no food after midnight" deal because us Sphynx looooove to eat.  At least once she leaves the house at 8:00am I can get some food!  Mom has also mentioned to Dad that I should go in for a cleaning soon too...Hmmm...I don't know about that one!  Also, Reggie will be 2 years old in 2 weeks time!  My little brother is growing up so fast.  My 3rd birthday isn't until July.
