Merry Monday to all...

We had a good Christmas here. It's been a bit chilly for us Southern Californians, but we can't complain too much! Here is a photo from my iPhone of Marley over the weekend...both boys are doing good...Reggie has been having a few more asthma attacks than usual, but I think the colder weather might have something to do with it...and of course, there is a lot more snuggling going on...Marley cuddled on my lap last night when I watched TV and Reggie kept jumping up too only to kick Marley out so he could take over the warm lap spot. But Marley is such a good brother and finds somewhere else to snuggle...Happy New Year!

Totally Twisted Tuesday!

BRRRR...it's been cold this week in Los Angeles...didn't get warmer than 60 degrees today for the most part, and yes, that is cold for us Angelino kitties!!!

We're still here....doing great...

Hi everyone! I know our mom has been a little "lazy" lately on our blog (how dare she!), but she wanted us to let you know we are doing just fine here. Our mom says she's especially thankful for that as we approach Thanksgiving because a lot of our furry friends have been sick. Please visit Vito and send his mom lots of kitty hugs and prayers.

The last 2 days we have been non stop bird watching these crazy, crazy birds just outside the window from our kitty condo! We can't stop looking and staring at them!!! If only we were outdoor kitties...

We know the Holidays are busy for you human types, but we want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and hope to catch up with everyone real soon!

Here's the deal, our mom has been meaning to do a contest now for quite awhile to give a deserving cat-blogger a fantastic book that she read called, "A Cat Named Squeaky"...Let's just say this book made her laugh, smile...and cry. But, it is such a good book (based on a true story) that I just have to pass it on and not let it collect dust here at home.

Marley and the kitchen towels...

Marley has decided that it's perfectly fine to pull down the kitchen towels from the stove in order to lay on them. He does this every few days probably...he also loves sniffing them and tries to burrow in them, but is unsuccessful so resorts to laying on top. He's so silly!

Reggie was having too much fun last night tugging at my pajama pants. I love this little stinker!

Toothless Tippy on Thursday

Meet Tippy, aka Tipster, aka dragon breath, aka "the sweetest 19 year old grandpa cat you'll ever meet or want to meet"

Tippy was adopted from the pound here in Southern California back in 1990 as a kitten. He has survived all these years living as an indoor/outdoor cat, although nowadays he is mostly indoor and prefers it that way.

I grew up with him since I was 9 until I moved out to attend college. I love my Tipster and today is for him and all his toothless-ness.

Update Galore!

Meooooow! Since we checked in last so much has been going on! We will give you a quick run down via a list to update everyone! We promise to check in more often, at least once a week. Here goes nothing! (In no particular order, just as our mom thinks of things):

1. We ran out of kitty litter one day and our mom had to buy this really dusty kind (Tidy Cats Small Spaces). Well, as it turns out us kitties LOVED the dusty litter and only used that cat box. But we are now back to our normal "pine" dust free kind. Darn!
2. Reggie had his bi-annual comprehensive exam last week at the vet. They drew blood (they had to charge Mom $17 for extra restraint!), did lab work, listened to his heart and lungs, etc, etc, and everything is within normal limits and he breathes comfortably! Yeah! The vet called Reggie a "crazy dude!"
3. Mom and Dad had a few trips, so the pet sitter lady came by. We were good kitties and even cuddly with her one day. Reggie was soooo good and even let the pet sitter lady administer his inhaler each day without a fight! This makes Mom happy.
4. Reggie has stopped being so "selfish" and even cleans Marley now from time to time! (Marley has always cleaned Reggie, even going so far as to lick inside of his ears - yuckie if you ask Mom!)
5. Marley has a new obsession that we like to call "securing the perimeter". He runs from room to room looking out all the windows, and then takes off to another window looking outside. It's like he's on the lookout for ninja attack cats or something. It's very funny and his eyes are all dilated with his ears pinned back as he does this!
6. Mom and Dad got engaged after almost 6 years of dating!
7. Marley and Reggie all of a sudden stopped drinking out of their Petmate Water Fountain. They will only drink out of a cup on top of the kitchen counter now. This is super annoying and Mom wishes they would start drinking out of their fountain bowl again. Any advice???
8. Warning, this next one is pretty gross: Mom is confused why Marley and Reggie's poops are different colors even though they eat the exact same dry food. Any one else experience this?
9. Reggie has taken on a new nickname which is "Pookie" - don't know how/why I started calling him this.
10. Marley is ridiculously vocal when he wants to be petted. It's actually very cute.
11. Both cats LOVE to sleep in our bed all burrowed under the covers...but only when we're NOT in it! Little stinkers, I like cuddling with them.
12. Both cats have taken to sleeping on top of the kitchen table. They like the sun that shines through there.

Our mom is baaack!

Jury duty is over! Woo hoo, we get to visit with you all again! In the meantime, here is a funny comic about us hairless cats.

Greetings kitties...!

Our mom wanted to let you know that yes, she is still on jury duty, but thinks she may be done this week. But in the meantime, she wanted to let you know that I am still being a very good boy about taking my kitty inhaler medication. Here are a few pictures...apparently she took them to show some person called the "cat sitter" that is supposedly coming over here next weekend. I'm not quite sure what that is all about, but anyways, she took them for that purpose.

PSS: Thank you all for the birthday wishes for Marley. Mom feels terrible because she didn't get to do a special birthday post for him back on 7/17. Well, she promises to make up for it when she is back in full swing. It's true though, Marley celebrated his 2 years on this great earth and he continues to bring us so much love each and every day.

Hi Everybody!

Just a quick note to say hello and let all our friends know that we are fine and being your typical sphynx' on a daily basis...our mom is still on jury duty so she is not at a computer during the day like she usually is when she's at work. Then after jury duty she heads straight to the gym and doesn't get home until 7:00pm (hrmph!) Needless to say she is just too tired to blog right now, but will definitely get back to regular blogging after her time serving as a juror (sometime after August!)

Our mom and dad have been getting lots of sun this summer at the beach and we've been trying our best to sunbathe too!

Don't worry, we're still here and everyone is fine...

Meows to everyone! Our mom wanted to let you all know that everything is great here in sphynx land and we are happy, healthy, and hyper!

Our mom will sort of be on a hiatus, but will still blog when she has the energy...We say this because she got selected to sit on a jury and the trial is expected to go 60+ days, so she said she will probably be exhausted by the time she gets home every day.

But...she said she promises to still play mousie with Reggie and promises to give us extra Greenies...we like that!

Hope everyone is enjoying their soon to be summer! (June 21st is officially SUMMER!)

Mancat Monday with Marley

I had a good relaxing weekend, I hope you all did too! Here I am lounging on the kitchen table in the sunshine - yes, my mom has tried keeping me off the table, but it doesn't work.

Mancat Monday!!

You may be wondering why most of Marley and Reggie's pictures are of them snoozing, but it's because they don't "sit" still long enough for any other pictures! Whatever room you are in, they are in, they are constantly on the move, always exploring, always seeing what you're up to! I can't even "take care of business" without one of them coming in to join me! Reggie even jumps up on the bathroom sink while I'm in there and pokes at my shoulders to "hurry up" so that I'll play fetch with him!

Papayas & Birthdays!!!

Today is our mom's 28th Birthday. She is feeling pretty old and also can't believe her 10 year high school reunion is later this year. But, we try to always keep her young and on her toes.

Mancat Monday with Reggie

So here I am on the couch, just relaxing and Mom had to come and wake me up for my inhaler medicine for my kitty asthma.

I get one puff 2x/day and my mom has to hold it there for about 15 seconds or until I inhale 5-6 deep breaths. Mom rubs the top of my head and between my eyes during the process - it seems to keep me cool, calm, and collected.

I did pretty good this day and didn't fight Mom. Usually she gives me my inhaler in the bathroom on the sink and makes me sit and then she doses me there. But hey, whatever/whenever works!

Ok, geez, can I go back to sleep now?

Well, as you may have noticed, our mom has been busy the past few weeks and has (god forbid) been too exhausted to blog about us! But don't fret, everyone here is healthy and as happy as can be! (as is evident from Marley's model pose).

Reggie continues to do well on his inhaler and we are praying for best when he goes back in September for another echocardiogram.

Both kitties have been more vocal lately, which is fun, but NOT fun at 5:00am. I'm afraid Reggie has me trained now; he won't stop meowing and walking over me in the morning until I give him a dollop of wet food. What have I gotten myself into! Marley, well, he just meows for scratches and rub downs.

Happy Birthday Reggie!!!

Oh my gosh, our mom is soooo embarrassed. She forgot today was Reggie's birthday! I mean, she knew it was coming and kept talking about it all last week, but today just sneaked up on her! She is super busy with work and yesterday drove 350 miles round trip in one day, so needless to say she is a bit frazzled right now!

But yes, it's true, today Reggie is officially a MANCAT! He was born, as an only child, a year ago.


Here are ten things I love about my little Reggie:

1. You are always so excited to greet me at the door
2. You don't run when I am drawing bath water, which means you or your brother will be getting a bath! (At least not yet!)
3. You make me laugh when you fetch your mousie
4. You are the best cuddler in the mornings, curled up right under my chin

Life is good...

Fetching bones now Reggie? Really?

This bone has been in my bucket full of toys for months, but I discovered last night it is fun after all!

My mom would throw it in the hallway and I would bring it back to her everytime! I like it because it is soft like my mousie, but this is obviously a lot bigger! But I won't let it conquer me!

"Please throw my bone for me again?! PLEEEAAASE???"

"Come on lady, what's your problem? Throw the bone already!" --Reggie
"But Reggie, you aren't a dog....sigh" --Mom

"This is what I chose to be doing while my stinkin' little brother was chasing that stupid bone around for 30 minutes" --Marley
